With a residential steam generator, you can convert your existing
shower installation into a steam shower. The shower must be constructed
of tile, marble or other steam-resistant material and be watertight.
The steam generator should be located outside of the shower, nearby,
and will require a plumbing connection to the water supply,
plumbing from the steam generator to the shower, and an electrical
connection to the generator.
Steam generators are selected based on the volume (in cubic feet)
of the area to be used. Certain conditions require more powerful
steam generators than size alone would demand. If you have any of the
following conditions in your proposed steam area, please call for guidance:
1) exterior outside walls
2) tile on mud wall
3) an extra glass panel in addition to the door
4) a cast iron tub or marble bench
5) height greater than 8'

Mr. Steam Residential Generators
One reason we like Mr. Steam's residential generators is their serviceability.
They can be opened for cleaning the tank and elements, unlike some others.

Possible locations for your residential Steamist generator |

Steamist residential systems are available in sizes from 4.5 to 30 KW. |

There are many attractive solid state timers and thermostats to choose
from, both for inside and outside of the steamroom. |

One useful option is the automatic drain which purges the
generator after each use, recommended on all systems over 11 KW. |
